Gator land
Is this worth a visit? My two boys love alligators.
Is it far from the Disney area? Is it just gators or are there rides etc ? |

It’s about 30-40 mins drive from Disney area. Good to visit for half day, particularly if your boys love the gators. No rides as such. Small train goes around the site and some shows with gators. Feel sure they would enjoy it

We found it a good way to spend half a day on a rest day. Much slower pace and very little crowds.

There’s a newer zip wire now. Not been since it was installed, but it’s a lovely morning trip out. It has a small petting area with goats. Birds and snakes. Your boys will love it.

We went on our first Orlando holiday (it was a Virgin Holidays Stomp Swamp thing). Very good. Didn't go on our second, but will next time. We plan on visiting on the day we fly home as it's on the way to the airport.

Fascinating place and probably one of the only places you can see leucistic which are white and not albino gators so if your sons are interested in gators then this will be an additional bonus for them. We were there in May and saw many birds nesting in the trees above the gator pond for safety from other predators.

We went a couple of weeks ago and did the zip wires, which was really good, it takes just over an hour and is suitable for all ages, in our group there was a grandmother and 2 grandkids.
There's 3 shows, gator jumping, gator wrestling and exotic animals. You can also buy food for the gators and you can feed almost all of them (if you can get the food past the birds that hang around) You can also go in and feed the budgies in their enclosure. There's a train that goes around the park, and also a new monster truck ride through the swamp. We really like it there, always go on our first day to ease us in to the heat and walking

Reading with interest, we're hoping to go here too, but I'm waiting on tickets on case we see loads in the Everglades first!

We went in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. The older kids loved the Ziplines and the wee one was happy with the animals, petting area and splash pad.
