HRH Velvet Bar closed for renovation

Just got a call (followed by email) from our TA advising us of the renovations. Doesn’t really affect us as our stay is only 2 nights and we probably wouldn’t have used it anyway, but here’s the information:

‘Please be advised that the Velvet Bar will undergo renovations and will be closed from September 1 – December 17, 2019. Bar service will be available daily at a temporary lobby bar, the beach club or The Kitchen restaurant for beverage service.

The scope of the project will include the renovation of the existing bar space and opening up the bar area to the lobby and to the outside patio.

There will be periodic noise. The hotel will be putting temporary walls around the area in order to minimize any impact. While there may be noise, the hotel is committed to working diligently to keep this to a minimum. Work will take place Monday–Friday from 8am–5pm. ‘
