Direct flight from Gatwick to Orlando for next year is £670pp including SUV for 20 nights. Take out the car hire and flights worked out at £515. I always aim for less than £700pp direct to any of the Florida airports (Orlando, Tampa or Miami). Flight prices are very subjective, and what one person thinks is a good price, another won’t.

Last weekend we got direct Gatwick to Tampa, 7th Aug - 26th, including fully insured car (BA flydrive) for £750 each. 2a and 2 teens. Given the car is around 600-800, I'm pretty happy with direct flights for ca. £550-600.

We have paid more than normal for next August. £830 but it is econ out and PE return direct to MCO. Could have got it under £700 without the PE but wanted to try it.

Would you say £925 per person direct LGW to Tampa including 22 standard suv car hire late July is excessive? I’m planning for the year after and looking at this years prices!

33-24 day flydrive, 1 stop with BA my max is 500pp. Due to work and age of kids we are restricted to summer holidays and I must be back early enough to recover from the jet lag so no good returning at the beginning of sept.

We’ve paid £750pp next summer, Gatwick to Orlando/Miami to Heathrow home with a car, 14th August for 17 nights. I try not to focus on the pp pride, and always budget 3k for flights and car for 2 adults and 2 kids (13 & 11) and if I can get it under that then it’s a bonus.

This time last year, I thought I was going to have to pay these prices. I budgeted 4k for flights for 2a2c. For Aug 2020. But having tracked prices over the year I knew 3k was more achievable. I ended up with £2450 direct Gatwick Orlando (car was an extra 230 for 10 days hire). Maybe there will be cheaper to come. Maybe not. You need a price agreed on so that when they drop to that price you can buy immediately. Seen so many times people saying they checked with the other half only for them to go up in that time. Good luck!

My target price was £500 indirect, but we got £420 (basic price without seat reservations etc.)

I'm hoping for under £500 per person for 3 of us and to include a car. Have managed this for the last 2 years.
We do fly to Tampa and go indirect and prepared to go hand luggage only without reserved seats or any extras. The only thing I am picky about is where we transit through I would prefer USA so I don't have to face American immigration after we land in Tampa.

£330 is the max we’ve paid for indirect so that’s our goal for next year. We don’t bother with direct as it usually means (for a cheaper price) getting to Gatwick rather than Heathrow or Manchester.
