Harry Potter Shop opened in Canterbury
Not sure how many Dibbers live near Canterbury, but a Harry Potter shop opened on Saturday.

I never realised that Warner Bros wanted to film the first Harry Potter film in the Cathedral. They even offered a substantial amount of money, but their offer was turned down due to the pagan themes in the book🙄.

Indeed that is true! Would have been great for Canterbury 😬😄. Have you visited Christchurch college oxford which was used for the dining hall scenes?

Oooh no I haven't. Will put that on my to do list. I went to school in Canterbury many years ago and we used to have our Christmas carol service in the Cathedral. The acoustics were fantastic. My son and youngest daughter had their Graduation ceremonies there and it was a lovely place to hold them. So much history.

It is a lovely city and whilst I understand why they turned down Harry Potter with the whole marrying up of witchcraft and Christianity, it’s annoying as would have brought an income for them. I live just outside canterbury and a family ticket to visit is verging on £50!
