It seems the best deals are for longer stays using the stay more save more rate.This year we were originally going to do a one night stay but ended up doing a complete split stay between Disney and Universal which brought the daily rate down considerably.

Seems a way for Universal to tempt people into longer stays to encourage people away from Disney,worked on us anyway!

Hi Lovinit, can I ask how you got hotels.com to price match please as they are saying the following to me:

We appreciate that you sent us a screenshot. However, upon checking it we found out that it doesn't have room type, hotel name and cancellation policy so we took the liberty to validate it real time to ensure that request meets the policies and criteria for eligibility. However, we were unable to locate any reservation with the same rate you found as the lower rate was not available due to rate fluctuation.

I even went all the way through to the payment page before I took the screenshot.

All ok now, you can get the quote emailed from MyAmericaholiday & hotels.com then matched it from this.
Managed to get 1 night Easter week for £402, more than I initially wanted to pay but by far the cheapest I’ve seen since I started to look last year & I can still cancel & rebook if I see it cheaper between now & early April.

We are taking a cruise from Miami at Easter and decided to do a week in Orlando first. We didn’t want to do Disney as no free dining plan at Easter and are doing Disneyland California in the summer so planned to do a week at universal. In 2017 we spent a week at HRH in August for around 1k... a week next Easter was 3k!
Needless to say we booked the doubletree Hilton at seaworld for just under £500 and Discovery cove ultimates instead!
