Also consider renting DVC points at BC or BW. Boardwalk is perhaps my favourite, but at Beach Club Villas over Xmas. I don't find that much difference between Beach and Yacht Club, to me they could be one hotel. Boardwalk has a bit of a different vibe to it, which I didn't really appreciate until I stayed in it. I also liked the famous 'Clown Pool' much more than I expected, in fact for some reason it's my favourite pool so far- I am not quite sure why, again maybe atmosphere which I found very different when there compared to how I thought it would be. My wife didn't want to stay at Boardwalk having previously visited, but it is her favourite as well. There is no better managed hotel on Disney than Boardwalk.

We booked the Yacht Club because all the rooms have balconies, whereas the beach club only some rooms have full balconies.

We stayed at BC a few years with DVC points, and had a full balcony too. With the age of your child, I'd def choose BC!

We have stayed at the YC which as two adults we find much more chilled and relaxing than the BC, where the public areas can become a bit busy and noisy. But I don’t think there is a lot in it and I would be happy to stay at the BC too, if YC was not available. Turns out we enjoyed our balcony at the YC, but it was not something we ever factored into the decision making.

We are staying in the Yacht club next year with our 2 daughters, love the nautical theme and the balcony..only 344 days left!...Being so close to Epcot and HS wil be a great bonus also.

Getting Excited
|
We've just got back from staying at BC; we were very lucky and was upgraded to club level which was amazing :-) as others have said, there's little difference between BC and YC. my thoughts were that BC was lighter and brighter than YC as it seemed dark; the shop in YC offered more merch than BC; there is a separate pool in BC unsure if there is one in YC. BC is closer to Epcot with YC closer to HS but i'm talking 2-3 mins difference.
BUT and it's a big BUT, i'd happily go to either again :-) |
