def a good idea to double and triple check that! Hubby is a cop and they tried to cancel his annual leave for last years trip because of an orange parade that would be ongoing on one of the days we were away. He had to provide them proof he had booked the holiday before they put the "red day" on the system.

Photocopy passports, driving licences and tickets in case you lose them and copies of hotel bookings. I leave copies with a relative as well. Tell your bank you are away and where you are going so they don't put a stop on your bank cards. Let your neighbours know you are away (if you know them well enough) so they can keep
an eye on your house and push anything thru the letterbox. Put a couple of lamps on timers so it looks like there is someone at home.

All good advice for the terminally paranoid. I have printed everything off and taken photos of passports and drivers license but printouts are always good to have

Neighbours feed the cat and I have smart lights programmed to come on and off while we are away. I know all my bank’s policies about which ones need contacting about using the cards abroad!

Think I’d better go and have that Gin now 😀

You really aren't taking the worry aspect seriously enough, 29 days preflight was perfect for packing the case, then wondering did you pack XY and Z, even tho your check list said you had, but did you? You'll convince yourself yes, until the 23rd preflight day when you check the case by trying to gently shuffle items around, that won't work so you remove items, and there's XY but where is Z, so you now rip into the case and find Z right at the bottom (who put that there, big sigh!)... by now you're in dire need of a brew with a shot of alcohol and decide the bloody packing can wait, and then your lass finds the case contents scattered around the room... where's that alcohol... aye, worry, who needs it, pack the night afore you leave .
