Buying WDW tickets on the gate

It looks to me that as long as you don't want to park-hop or go to the water parks, it may be cheaper to buy your WDW tickets out there?

Looking at another thread with links to the prices - for example:

5 days (non hopping) $233.24 adult
5 days (UK ticket - incl hopping/waterparks) £244

Am I just being naive? What am I missing? Both sets of tickets appear to expire 14 days after first activation.

Help appreciated as always !
Thanks,
Hayley.

Magic Your Way base tickets offer a cheaper alternative, but offer less flexibility Depends on the 'value' your family would get out of hopping/water parks to know what is right for you. You also have the option of upgrading your base ticket to make any unused days 'non-expiry' - another feature that could save money long term

You can also get discounts off the gate prices (try Orlando Attractions or Undercovertourist)

Great - thanks for the info !
TBH, we're not worried about hopping & if they're still doing the Buy 3 days & get 3 days free, it would easily be worth it for us.
