Disneyland parks
I am planning to visit Disneyland in December this year. The plan was to go to Disneyland for 1 day on my birthday. We weren’t going to park hop. But now I’m wondering if we should, or if we should get a 2 day hopper ticket.
There aren’t many attractions that I’m too bothered about, but I think it looks really good, and the food and drinks look good. But I’m looking for honest opinions if it’s worth it. For me the main thing is to wander around the original park on my birthday just taking it all in. I don’t want it to be a mad dash around trying to fit everything in. But do wonder if I should add the other park on. Thanks in advance. |

We visited Disneyland for the first time in 2018 after 20+ visits to WDW and we loved it.
DCA might possibly be my favourite park out of them all on both coasts and I’d suggest going if you can. You never know when you’ll get a chance again. |

I've done it both ways and honestly I think if you hop on a one day visit, it does feel like a mad dash here and there. BUT it can be worth it if it's a night with good evening entertainment in the opposite park from where you want to spend the day.
They are both excellent so it's hard to choose for just one day. I was there last week and just did Disneyland for one day as I had to leave by 5:30. I've done single day from Magic Hour to Park Close and in that time did both parks, but I knew my way around and I wasn't worried about skipping a lot of things. If you want the nostalgia of it being Walt's park and to just soak it in, I would save the cash for something else I think. (After I would double and triple check that I couldn't stay a second day. ) |

If it may be your only visit then take a couple of days if you can.
You can get around and do the main rides in a day but would suggest 2 to do a bit more in less of a rush if a one off. |

We’ve done Disneyland a few times but park hopping is not our thing. We’ve always found a day in both is just perfect for us.
