Finally, I opened the box this afternoon:

So all the packs numbered 1 create the ground floor (or 1st floor if its the USA!):

Love the black and white checkered floor.

Some of the detail:

The short order cook is grilling some steaks. Note the frying pan and cleaver to the left, also the coffee maker:

My favourite - the juke box and those red vinyl seats. Spot the mustard and ketchup either side of the napkins:

And around the back - trash cans:

Geoff. I know Lego has had a bad few weeks ref sales and over expansion etc but you have to hand it to them their stuff is really good.

I do like the attention to detail re the bottles and bin. Now that's really good.
Have fun and look forward to the next stage.

So I've spent the entire afternoon doing the contents of all bags numbered 2. Boy! This was a fiddly part of the build. You are constructing the marquee in the main.

But first, some additional bits inside. Counter top and drinks dispensers:

Not sure if these are meant to be pancakes or burgers:

The back door gets an overhead light:

Posters appear on the walls:

A new character - a server on roller skates joins the staff:

A flight of stairs complete with lamp leads upstairs:

These were the fiddly bits I referred to earlier - they wrap right around the building (love the colours):

View from the front ( the apartments have yet to go on top ):

Note the "red" mail box and the parking meter.

Another front view where you can see inside (great window shape):

Open for business:
