As the others have said, you can't share Express passes.

It sounds like it might be worth your partner getting an Express pass for themselves so that they can go on the big rides by themselves. That will reduce the time you have to wait with your child outside. You couldn't use the Express pass though. Your partner could also use the single rider line where available.

You probably won't need for a child too small to ride but if they are tall enough they will want one for the child as well even if not riding.

Can’t you just buy the pass(es) when you’re there? See how wait times are and make a judgement? That way you’re not buying express passes to find out you don’t even really need them?

I would definitely look into the hotel option though.

I know others have said it... but there really is no way at all to share an express pass. Universal are not stupid and will do all they can to stop any loopholes which mean they would be losing money...

I think it also depends on when you are going as during quieter weeks if you get to either of the park early you won’t need one it’s only when the lines build up later that they come in useful. Most attractions have single rider and I was there last week first thing and in 90 minutes did Forbidden Journey, Hogwarts Express across parks Gringots, The Mummy, Fast & Furious and Jimmy Fallon.

As Dr says they now have mobile facial detection machines so you can't share express pass.
I was sceptical it was some kind of scare tactic as I kept being asked to look onto this camera on a mobile pole with a monitor on the other side. But the operator showed me it working and indeed, it recognised me and gave the green light- I saw the screen output as he let me have a look.
So definitely don't attempt this. Also note these machines are often halfway down the queue or near the actual ride itself, not at the entrance- clearly trying to catch those who have gone in thinking they can get away with it.
Book a night at Hard Rock- very enjoyable and passes included. Very nice pool area, and you can walk to a restaurant that night.

It should be reasonably quiet around then. Well, quiet for the Orlando parks anyway.

I've only ever had Express passes once and that was because we wanted to do Universal in just two days and we were there just after Easter. Otherwise, we've never needed Express passes - although it is nice to have them if you can afford the extra money.

Its worth taking into consideration that the hotel includes 2 days express pass.
