One day in Disneyland?

Hi everyone

I’ve gone through some stuff personally in the last few days and really want a day/time out just for me.

Am I mad to think going to DLP alone for one day will work?! Thinking of getting first flight in the morning out from Birmingham and get the train over to DLP. Then fly back around 8ish. I’ve been before so know what to expect once there etc.

Has anyone done this? Will it work?! Also, I’d like to visit both parks - am I completely crazy?

Could you fly the night before and stay somewhere cheap? Ibis Budget Val d’Europe or Hipark Serris?

Have looked at this with the OH pre kids when BMI used to have an early morning flight from Bristol. It will be a looonnnggg day with getting to the Airports and a lot of travelling and hope that nothing gets delayed during the day. It might be nicer to use an evening flight the PM before but isn't impossible

Thanks for the replies, to be honest I hadn't considered going the night before but may well look into it!

I ideally just wanted to go with just my handbag, if I stay overnight I don't want to have to lug around all my stuff in the parks. Still trying to decide if I'm crazy!

There is luggage storage in the parks (you have to pay though).

I once caught the overnight bus from London, arrived in Paris at 7am and jumped on the rer to Disneyland. Then got the overnight bus home. It was fun, couldn’t do everything but would happily do it again.

We did just one day back in May although was staying at Villages Nature Paris so only had a very short drive over and then only did Disneyland Parc but we had such a great day and whilst I was worried it wouldn't be long enough we had such a fab time and it was the perfect little Disney fix!

(I did a trip report for it if you fancy a read!)

I am planning to do this For the first time before Christmas. Bit easier for me as I live on the Kent coast and I can be in Calais, literally, in less than 50 minutes from leaving my front door (driving).
