Today is one of those days where I don’t know what I’m feeling ..
I’m not positive, not negative, just ‘meh’ ..
I see the positive threads and I want to get involved but then I just feel I’m lying to myself as I still have so many niggling doubts 😬

Last night we booked another"fall back" flight. Christmas this time. I've still got everything crossed for our July flights but was feeling really miserable yesterday.

Fingers crossed we're ok for July and we get to go, then when DH says ok, we can cancel the fall back in December now, I'll say " what do you mean fall back? I thought the plan was to spend Christmas with the kids in LA? " 😂☃️

Well my LA flights for next month were cancelled by VA. Tempted to rebook for September as I feel confident things will open up by August.

I think AL have cancelled direct flights to and from LA this summer. We have flights to NY and back from LA in August/Sept they are still showing on our booking but nothing on the website now that I can see for the next few months. I’ve rung them and they said they’re still flying and I would have received an email cancellation of the flights were cancelled. They claim the flights are all full!
I’m wondering if they are staggering emailing people so they’re not inundated with trying to sort refunds or alternative flights. Now I think it’s just a case of getting our money back and cancelling all the hotels and everything. I’m giving up on this trip and travel this year and will look to next year.

Our flights have been changed by VA, now going out later in the day and on way back it’s earlier.
Bit annoyed as I liked the 10pm return as meant it wasn’t too far to bed time once home .
Should be grateful it’s not cancelled yet though.

I must say things are looking pretty positive over there , I keep reading about all the things opening and restrictions being lifted soon etc.
It does make me very excited and optimistic about a trip in Dec ... But it's all very well and good we just need to get in ! 😂

I know!
Over there looks like a different planet but they’re not the ones I’m worried about, it’s all the doom mongers and hand wringers over here 😭

This is only my opinion, but i really feel that an Air Bridge will be open between the UK and USA at the end of June.

it may well be you will still need to be tested, prove vaxx status or both, but my gut feel is that the airlines will put so much pressure on Biden and Johnson to get the lucrative NYC/Lon and LAX/Lon routes open asap.
