Boston Food

I last went to Boston 6 years ago and I didn't really explore the local food options so would love some recommendations for great food options. We love cocktails so would like to try these but I know from my last visit Boston has some great breweries so cocktails aren't essential. I have had a look on Instagram and a lot of the places seem to be really pricey which I guess is because it's a tourist hotspot. Can anyone recommend some great food spots? Trying to avoid chains if possible as we will probably end up eating at these when we move on to Orlando

There's no getting around the fact that Boston is more expensive than Orlando, just a higher cost of living place. We liked Yvonne, Mike and Patty's, The Pour House, Lolita, Trident Booksellers & Cafe, JP Licks (icecream and snacks), Cheers (touristy but food and drinks are actually great), Sissy K, Mike's Pastry (cannoli is to die for)
and Regina Pizzeria. Hopefully they are all still open!

Boston scrod, and decent chowder are a must. Scrod on the quay is fabulous. Can’t get much fresher than that

The Union Oyster House is on the Freedom Trail and had been in operation since 1826. It’s Boston’s oldest restaurant. Also check out Faneuil Hall Marketplace and if you like Italian food the North End is the place to go.
