Latest Prediction Amber, Green from Late June...

Morning Dibbers
For those who follow Paul Charles, his latest analysis suggests that USA will initially begin as amber, turning green by 28th June. This seems sensible to me, as cases are currently high but will soon hopefully drop significantly due to the vaccine roll out. A green now would have made little difference with the UK travellers ban, although I believe the ban is closely linked to the reciprocal restrictions in place. With that in mind, a green categorisation in June could be nicely linked with a reciprocal lifting of the travel ban, opening up travel from July onwards.

All speculation of course, what do others think?

Explains why there's no mention of USA in the Times article on travel today. Must admit when I looked at infection rates yesterday I had serious doubts about our Aug holiday. Let's hope vaccine uptake continues a pace.

I have read, could easily be wrong, I think, it was in the Gaurdian that some vacination centres in the US are shutting down, they have done the first flush of those who want it and there is now a reluctance of others.

That will of course happen here to, and has started in some areas, it will be interesting to see where the figures in each country reach.

From the Telegraph

Its chief executive, Paul Charles, added that the expectation is that most of Europe will be labelled ‘green’ by the end of June, at which point the United States may also be in that category.

US rates are coming down very nicely - you’ll be fine!

Because they don't go on age and people could ring around to get an appointment
