Virgin emailed me today to say they were issuing me with a refund for my hotel only booking. ☹️
I know it’s a good thing but I’m still feeling despondent today.
Does anyone know how good/quick they are at refunding and.. my credit card expires tomorrow. Will they be able to issue the refund to my new credit card or will I have to contact them? Thanks.

I can't see a change of card preventing a refund going back to your credit account. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Are you actively arranging an alternate holiday? Give you all something to look forward to.

If we can't fly, then we'll have to contact our CC to try a section 75 claim, as BA will only do a voucher.

We've another back up holiday, so our kids aren't that disappointed.

We are, or I am... had lots of plans that look very unlikely now.

Last time we had to phone them and give them the updated card as they sent an email saying they’d tried to refund but card had expired.
-actually, pretty sure there was a message on their site last year saying to check there was a valid payment card on your account .

Edited at 05:47 PM.

No. Nothing booked as yet. DH popped into Tui today to discuss booking a week in Tenerife but it sounded so complicated with who needs testing etc. that he didn’t bother. ☹️

Thanks all. I’ve checked my new credit card number and my old credit card number and they are the same. I’m hoping that means that the refund will go back on with no problems. Also got my refund from BA today so that is officially me out for July.
