Streetwear stores Bape Palace etc ..
Hi Guys
I have LOL booked for DS1 and DS2 wants to trail me round the streetwear stores. Hes planning on supreme bape palace and the likes ive had a check and they seem pretty spread out, some are at Melrose ave and some around near the grove. we are staying just next to the Chinese theatre but im not sure of the best way to get around? we have a car but last year LA traffic was manic. also we are trying to make a list of places and things to do .. so far we have universal, Griffith, WOF, shops, downtown (not sure what to do here) .. any other recommendations ? we are staying at Hollywood for 8 nights then santa monica for 3 nights then off to vegas for 6 nights ? DS are 16,16,12 thanks a million Lisa x

If you are staying in Hollywood you should be near the metro red line, so easy to use that to go to Universal and downtown. Downtown there is OUE Skyspace, Walt Disney concert hall, Angels Flight, short metro ride to museums at Exposition Park including California Science Center with Endeavour.
If you don’t want to drive I am sure there are buses to the Grove area, or Uber. Metro dot net shows buses trains and metro for LA. One day card costs $7 plus $2 for a TAP card to load it on to.

My kids went to a few shops on Melrose, that seems to be where they all are. I’ll ask them for the names

Downtown LA around Spring St, 6th Street area have a lot of streetwear and rare sneaker shops. If you google map “the last book store” and then do a nearby search I think a lot will pop up because I kept seeing them when I was looking for that book shop.
If you go to Venice Beach, Abbot Kinney Blvd has lots of hip, trendy shops and the as others have said Melrose has the Supreme and Bape shops. Try Pinks Hot Dogs or the farmers Market for lunch. You’ll also be near the Instagram must do of the light feature at LACMA and the La Brea tar pits and the automotive museum which may be hits with the boys. |
