There is a number you can text when you go to the menus, this is what I did for Reece and he also got one on the way back too

Oh & I had from the economy menu instead of PE on the way home and it wasn't a problem

I've not got the app but go to manage my booking on virgin Atlantic and you will see a drop down menu on meal selections for each seat.

I'm vege but hate mushrooms so it looks like I'll definitely be ordering a fruit platter for me instead and I'll get a boots meal deal too as no doubt my daughter will end up sharing my platter!

For what it’s worth the guardian reviewed the pasta and the teriyaki here a couple years back
