That’s true and most return visitors would be willing to stay off strip but for first timers I do think being on the strip is a huge part of the whole experience and travel agents here aren’t being very transparent about the resort fees.

Hi there I a gee 100% when I booked for this year first thing I done was look up the resort fee I like to stay on the strip not everyone thing but I like it so I always take the resort fee as part of the price . I asked the TA if the price I paid included the resort fee and the lady said no but I still booked as the price was right for me and my partner . Try a cheeky tip that a frend said who lives in the states and have tried she says sometimes it works sometimes it don’t but I try it.

They came in around 2011 and weren’t too bad to begin with , but they’ve become stupid money

We stay off strip at south point where it’s $21.99 a night , I doubt we will stay on strip again , we go for 10/12 days I’m not paying $450 in resort fees

It is very annoying but I just factor it into the overall cost. No point staying somewhere that costs an extra $20 a day in Ubers to save $10 a day in resort fees, for example.

Thats what we do Karen. We got some of our Ballys nights for $29 pn and this next time around $45 ish so even with a resort fee I think for a major city thats dirt cheap. NY, Boston Chicago San Fran all of those cost way more a night than most Vegas regular hotels. For me part of the whole Vegas thing is just walking to the strip and popping back for a little drink or to relax. To me its worth the bit extra to stay on on very near the strip. Traffic is very busy in Vegas even using the non strip roads and I just hate the hassle.

Only 3 hotels so far and not Caesars so far
