Manchester airport - to book a lounge or not?

After years of flying from T2 we flew T1 from Manchester in April and could not believe how overcrowded and noisy the terminal was. There is limited seating other than at the gates and this is mostly in a dark food court, the whole place lacks natural lighting and is more like an indoor shopping centre from the 80's. If you like peace and space to sit and relax before your flight from T1 I would think a lounge is a very good investment!

yep totally agree with this, T2 isnt great but T1 is just crazy

We have used the Escape lounge in T1 in last few years and used again yesterday. Only had breakfast which was really nice. Would recommend.

We've booked the Escape Lounge for before we go next month. I was swaying because of the varied reviews on Tripadvisor, but decided that it was worth the money as it would give us a space to sit and chill with our two kids.

We'll be in there around 8am so hopefully it'll not be totally rammed, but I have read that for groups of 4 or more you can reserve seats so we'll likely do that.
