We booked hotels while touring on the West coast with Booking.com, we cancelled one in Vegas and booked a different one for a longer period, we also walked in to a hotel at San Francisco and walked out again, then booked elsewhere. It allowed us to be more flexible if we wanted to stop off somewhere. At Vegas we have stayed in Monte Carlo, we would stay again, Luxor, would stay again, Circus Circus not to everyone's taste but the rooms outside are very big with car parking practically outside your room, Excalibur, wouldn't stay again.
If you get the chance, go to Grand Canyon, no words or pictures can do it justice. We stayed overnight at Bright Angel Lodge in one of the cabins, it was 'bijou' but the bathroom was very big and we put our luggage in it, absolutely gorgeous scenery just a short walk away from the cabin.

I have stayed in lots of Casinos in Vegas since 1990. Cheap ones to expensive ones. All on the Strip. The cheap ones were decent and value for money. Most have gone now. Sands, Dunes, Imperial Palace, Aladdin were a few. I moved a bit more upmarket MGM, Treasure Island at the Mirage, The Mirage, Venetian, Bellagio. But without doubt the best and only place I will return to is Wynn/Encore.

I would return to any of the ones we have stayed at. Some better than others. Love the Wynn it’s a beautiful hotel but have to say I much prefer the location of a lot of other hotels. Depends on what is important to you I suppose.

I appreciate that and would stay in others on the Strip if money was tight, but the Wynn/Encore is the only one that gave me such an awesome feeling. The architecture, rooms, staff, restaurants, food and the general vibe were in my opinion the best of the top casinos. Location isn't an issue for us and the surrounding area is getting some new additions. The light and airy feel of the Encore casino is amazing as well. I appreciate newbies may want to stay center Strip but exploring the Strip is all part of the Vegas experience.

I felt like that about the Venetian...I loved it. Reminded me of the GF at Disney. Then again it would be even better if it was mid strip. We will be doing 4 trips to Vegas this year so we have to shop around for bargains but will say all of the hotels we have stayed in have been lovely, but I do prefer to be more center strip. Having said that if the price was right I would stay at the Wynn or Venetian in a heartbeat. Glad you have found a hotel that you love and hope you get to enjoy it again.

Yes lovely anniversary trip to celebrate 20 years. Hope you make it, or somewhere just as nice.

It will be either Wynn or Encore no doubt about that, wife is gluten free and all the eateries in both casinos looked after so well. Even the Coffee shops. I know there are other places to eat that provide gluten free food on the Strip but she said the taste and quality was exceptional at all the Wynn/Encore places we eat at.

Thats the place to go then. Well worth the little bit extra for those gorgeous rooms and your wifes gluten free needs being met. Wynn buffet is delicious.
