Skyscanner virgin flights adding baggage quest
Hi all,
Wondered if anyone had tried this yet, I’ve always manage to find some deals via Skyscanner if none direct, best saving has been £90pp. But now since the tier change with virgin its more complicated. Some of the sites via Skyscanner, eg travelup are hand baggage only, but when you go to book gives you a price to add hold baggage (usually still cheaper than direct) Does anyone know if this means your ticket then becomes a enconomy classic? Or just enconomy light with added baggage? I would ask the companies direct but they are only good for booking, there customer service lacks. , but I’ve never had to change anything so never been an issue thus far. Thank you Ben

It would still be economy light with added luggage. Economy classic also includes seat booking and you won't get that with light, even if you add luggage.

We got a better deal from netflights than Skyscanner and their customer service is excellent .

Asked this same questions on here about 5 days ago and was advised that although some companies show you the price to upgrade to economy classic not all do and I would think that its prob econ light with luggage. also means you cant upgrade if you spot a good price too.
best I can find which is definitely econ classic is netflights through skyscanner and this seems to knock around £40pp of the price booking direct with Virgin. Prices to add luggage Netflights - £80 PP (but also to econ classic) Mytrip - £128PP Gotogate – £128PP Traveltrolley - £70pp Flysharp - £70pp Travelup - £70pp BYOJet - £43pp Edited at 10:44 AM. |

Thanks for the replies, that’s what I thought it might of been.
That’s good to hear about netflights, not currently showing in the dates I’m looking at but I’ll keep that in mind. Thank you
