Budget isn’t important, if it’s something which interests me I’ll save for as long as it takes.

I’m looking at long haul really, I’ve seen enough of Europe, for now.

We loved Hong Kong. I did a mini trip report in the general trip section if you want to read more about it.

The Far East then maybe?

I'm desperate to do a Singapore stay and Far East cruise. That would be my next dream holiday.

Do think about cruising- its the perfect way to see so many different places in one holiday without the stress of getting between them yourself. Your man child will never be bored, I know because I have one myself!

There are lots of places in the US which might appeal to your husband. We’ve done a few road trips in the past and we’re halfway through a Colorado and Utah trip which has been amazing so far. We’ve also got trips booked for Singapore and Bali and a cruise to the Norwegian fjords. Many friends have raved about Iceland. Sometimes the world feels too big and narrowing down options is tricky!

I have a couple suggestions that we have done and will be doing again

Kuala Lumpur (or Singapore) Borneo and Hong Kong - we'd probably start in Hong Kong though - wasnt a fan of KL - so would do Singapore next time.
HK - out of this world - and Borneo - a lovely relaxing week!

Secondly
Bangkok, Chiang Mai and then beach.
Bangkok - again - simply awesome, Chiang Mai - loved loved love it - staying in the Anantara - absolutely stunning.
We stayed in Kho Lak - we'd been spoilt by the other hotels and really didnt like this one or the town - but we would definately go back to Bangkok and Chiang Mai.

Vietnam/Halong Bay is also on our list
A China escorted tour - Wendy Wu do some fabulous trips

We are off in 4 weeks to a cruise of the Baltics - cannot wait!

Last November we did a Med cruise - Barcelona - then onto Italy, Croatia, Montenegro and Malta.
Saw some fantastic cities and did a tour to Mostar etc.

Love this kind of planning x x

Thanks for all the ideas, lots to look at which I will do over the next few days Really fancy South East Asia or Australia, or maybe South America.
