Liverpool
DH and myself currently stuck in traffic en route to Liverpool for a long weekend. We are staying in the Premier Inn at The Albert Docks, just wondering if anyone has any restaurant recommendations? Would rather try independent ones rather than chain restaurants.

What’s Cooking on the dock itself is pretty good. You would probably have to book though over the weekend

Go to the Baltic market the food there and the amount of choice is incredible I promise you that you will love it.
It’s all independent food places and there is so much choice. |

Expensive special occasion place for us is Sapporo tapenyaki Japanese restaurant where they cook it in front of you. Gorgeous food.
Second Baltic triangle/market great food choices and it's right across from thevslbert dock too, so handy. The baltic social do a fabulous bloody Mary. They also do a punk afternoon tea with sliders, hot dogs, mac and cheese balls and brownies. Yum. Hope this helps and let us know where you end up. |

Smugglers cove in the Albert dock is great, but I would imagine you will need to book.

If you fancy a nice coffee and pastry/sandwich etc. during your trip, I’d highly recommend Rough Handmade Boutique Bakery. It’s in the Britannia Pavilion in the Dock, lovely staff and absolutely delicious pastries all made onsite.
Have a great trip👍 |
