For our Florida years it’s much higher but we don’t do it every year, every 2nd year would be our dream but Covid put a stop to that.
Our non Florida years we have a “budget” holiday - we are heading to Tenerife in July - just the 3 of us as DS1 is staying at home to watch the dog. We managed to get flights and apartment for 10 nights for £1500. We also go to Tenerife for new year but are very lucky that my mum pays for the trip. She says if she can’t spend her money on her family what will she do with it and she can’t take it with her when she’s no longer here.

Depends on the holiday
For florida it would be 2 years of saving I’d say roughly 3k per year I put away for holidays. |

I have averaged it out. We don't do a Florida holiday every year, so sometimes we might stay in the UK. A Florida holiday for the 3 of us costs in the region of £9k all in, so we couldn't afford to go every year unless we really scrimped!

Totally agree. We're all different.
We've had comments from family members about how we must afford our holidays etc. etc. But they take their small children on very expensive days out, often once a week. Whereas our son definitely prefers being out for nature walks with a homemade picnic. It's all just what you prioritise, I guess.

Usually have 2 holidays a year, 1 Expensive (Orlando or somewhere in the Caribbean)
Followed by a Cheap week away somewhere in the Med. This year we have 2 Trips to Orlando and a cheeky cheap week in Menorca. Usually Just me & Dh or Me & DD I put myself in the 4k-8k bracket |
