Why on Earth would the gun have been loaded? A prop does not need to be loaded, surely?
How awful

I thought the same about these Theatrical Guns.

However a quick Google shows they can be lethal due to wadding, being far too close to the intended 'victim' and other factors.

They aren't like cap guns at all.

I remember Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) being killed in a similar way.

It's so tragic and needless.

Tragic.

After decades of using these guns to rehearse and in action, especially when you consider theatre and film, why o why did this happen.

An accident I hope, and if so, in these technological times, the seeds of change have just been sown.

Yes during the filming of the Crow, I admit to finding the film particularly hard to watch knowing that had happened on set.

Such a devastating thing to happen, can’t imagine what Alec Baldwin is feeling now. 😢

They have blanks in so that they bang. It wasn’t loaded with bullets. It is really scary though

I knew there were blanks but I didn’t know they could actually leave the barrel.
Can’t they just add the noise in afterwards?

I can't believe they can use such powerful blanks, it's madness!
