Using points for RCI

I have got some point to use up and thought I would look into RCI. I found the website impossible to use. Has anybody managed to do this and how was the experience?

Had a look but honestly it looks awful value for European destinations.

It wanted about 100 odd points for a week in an apartment in Tenerife. You can sell those points and get the apartment plus quite a bit of spending money.

Plus if you want all inclusive resorts it costs more for the supplement than just booking it outright through a hotel website.

Rent them out Jan instead on the Facebook page or via Davids?

I�m in the same position even if I could rent have you seen availability for next year it�s crazy right up till April. I think I�ve got no other choice than RCi even though I�m not overly impressed with the accomadation.

I don�t know how many points you have got but the US guests like short stays so you could book a few days and try on FB?

We rented 3 days in September but we only have 100 points - we are hoping to use the rest ourselves.

A few years ago we used our points through RCI to do a Monday- Friday stay in Bad Gastein in Austria
We flew to Munich, hired a car and drove to Bad Gastein
We had a lovely stay there took the train to Salzburg and did a city tour and saw a lot of The Sound of Music locations
We had a late flight home on the Friday so spent the day sightseeing in Munich which was great

Assuming they are banked I would just book any available days and try renting them on the FB group. You can always cancel and move to RCI ahead of your deadline if you choose.
