Went to Buttermere last year. Love it there.

Yes it’s a bit hairy if you come at it from the North East. Coming at it from the South over Honister Pass isn't too bad

We drove in from Keswick down a very hairy road. Then back via honister. Was a bit better but still hairy for my liking 😂
