I keep using the word chaotic. I’m bored with repeating it but can’t think of a better way to describe life right now. No one seems to have a clue what’s going on and I’m treading water. I had a warning light come up on my car last week, it’s booked in for Monday, in the meantime my tyre pressure light came on, there was a screw in one tyre so needed replacing. I reset it and now the light is back on. I’m hoping there’s not another faulty tyre. My oldest daughter had cancer this year and the middle one has an MRI tomorrow on a lump. I need to get a flu jab, my booster and I’m so busy at work that I’m meeting myself coming back!

Yes. Phoned our dentists the other day because, as a family, we haven’t been to the dentist for 2 years.

Lady on the phone states that there is no appointments until next year (cue me thinking around Jan/Feb/Mar)

“No problem” I reply….

“Would the 6th June be of any use to you”

It’s shocking isn’t it? 😢 However, did you ask for a check up for all of you? I do this as only DH drives so it’s easier for us to go together with our adult daughter when she’s home from uni too.

Our dentist suggested last time that we went on different days, as they could squeeze one of us in but not all three around the same day. It was a less convenient but it did mean we all had appointments within 2 months of calling up.

I did and didn't really think to ask about booking in separately but we are so busy as a family, I would probaby forget an appointment and then be blacklisted

Terrible isn't it. I have been speaking to lots of families who have young children/new babies and they are struggling to register their children for NHS dental services

My son ordered a new car in June for delivery early September he’s still waiting.
My son-in-law went to see about ordering a new Skoda 9 month wait so he’s bought something else instead.
He’d only had it a couple of days and someone bumped it in the car park at his work and the parts needed aren’t available until mid January so he’s not happy.
My son and daughter-in-law went to IKEA on Sunday to buy a dining room table and everything they liked was out of stock even the tables they didn’t particularly like were out of stock.
We ordered new windows and gutters back i July (I think) and were told we probably wouldn’t get them this side of Christmas.
Yesterday the surveyor turned up to check the measurements are correct and said it’s probably going to be around February.
The vets in our village no longer opens on Wednesday due to covid but you can go to one of the other branches either 6 miles or 9 miles away.
