Yes I agree - it's a bit of an oxymoron. I don't think all exempt people will necessarily be vulnerable, but some will.
I guess the hope is that all (over 12s at least) that are vulnerable will be jabbed soon.

My child is exempt due to autism. Autism does not make her vulnerable to covid.

The hope is that parents wouldn't put their children on the plane if they are vulnerable 😉

You could also say that other passengers whom are vulnerable shouldn’t be on the plane as well though.

At the end of the day, people just want to go on holiday. They’ll be a risk on the way to the airport, at the airport, on the plane, in the arrivals hall and basically everyday you mix with people you don’t know. If we all lived in such fear then we would never do anything or go anywhere.

I honestly think people just need to be a little less concerned about what other people do, and that’s life in general.

Children are just as able to pass the virus on to anyone and there fore it doesn't make sense to be touting the rules and putting people at risk.
Controversial I know but as a health care worker who has to be vaccinated and wear a mask at work .I just wanted to express my view.
Could you please tell me where I said it was acceptable for children to put passengers at risk?

I get what you're saying but allowing all passengers to remove their masks at the same time to eat is surely not productive either? The risk is hugely reduced for all when everyone on that plane has tested negative anyway not to mention the fact that planes use HEPA filters which purify the air.

My son is autistic and there is no way he will wear a mask, we’ve put off booking again as I can’t find anywhere exemptions for the plane or airports in the us, have you been told by a airline that they offer mask exemptions?

If that is your take on it then if I were you, I wouldn't be getting on a flight in Europe where the age to wear a mask is over 6.

Don't forget all kids 2+ are tested before a flight & have to show proof of a negative test. Also don't forget we have never made it mandatory for children aged 11 or under to wear a mask & also the WHO don't recommend face masks for under 5's.

I didn't say that vulnerable people "shouldn't" be on the plane, they are doing their own risk assessment, i said I would hope that parents wouldn't put their vulnerable children on a plane, for obvious reasons. yet another post that has been turned into the insinuation of being fearful of ones own shadow when it's simply just an opinion.
