Car seats

Can someone help with car seat requirements. I want to take my own as car rental is crazy pricey as it is, plus I'll know how to fit them and it's one less stress on arrival.

I have two boys, one 7 and is currently just over 133cm. In a booster only at home. Other will be 2/3 whilst there. He's currently in his seat he's had since a baby with the double straps. Are the rules there similar to here. Any links to what's accepted there?

I put his in the Dibb Guidebook quite a while ago and haven't checked recently to see if Florida laws have changed.

However it gives you some ages etc to work from.

I had a quick look at this last week, as far as I could see barely any EU approved car seats would be classed as legal in the US and vice-versa. I think it was due to different testing requirements.

We always take our own instead of renting so we know what we're getting and that they're safe.

Correct. Latch and Isofix are basically the same but neither are approved for the other Countries.

I know exactly what I would do and indeed did with my Granddaughter. Take a UK car seat! Can’t be doing with all these what if’s and speculation. However people must decide for themselves what to do.
