A car hire only booking through Virgin Holidays isn't too bad a price. We can get a car for nest September for 2.5 weeks for £901 (its just a basic car) collection at Port Canaveral and dropping at Mco. Insurance included.

Edit - just booked for the 7 days following our cruise £339 basic 4 door inc insurance. Dropping off at Disney car care centre.

If you are staying at an UOR hotel for 7 nights purchase an AP for one person and look for APH discounts in the room rates.

We have the annual passes on hold from Covid so all good there, it was just to get the fast pass benefits really

We're not that fussed on a 'must stay on site' but if the DIY and onsite versions all in are 'roughly' the same it just saves the swapping hotels, booking fake rooms to get FP's etc, may as well just do the one booking and keep it simple

Tui package deal inc flights, all transfers and 1st week in Portofino Hotel to take advantage of Fast passes for Universal

2nd week in a cheap n cheerful Disney hotel, All star movies (we aren't fussed on the glitz here but thought it would be nice to be in the Disney bubble)

Comes out at £6800 inc ELR seats

We are usually die hard DIY but not having been for a few years not sure how accurate the below costs are

Flights with Aer Lingus - £1700
Manchester parking, fuel, food and faffing say £200-£300
Villa for 14 nights £2000
2 or 3 nights at Portofino for the fast passes £1000
Car hire 14 nights £1000

Comes out at £6000, prob less but I've over egged the costs I think?

Can I have opinions please, as you can probably tell we really like Universal haha

Thanks all
just checking my dates for tui (if I can drop to 14 or extend to 21) but not seeing a car hire choice. do they still offer car do you know?

Does your Tui price include park tickets?
It seems really high to me although I only ever look at flights from London and I know the regional airports can be a lot more.
We have just booked for 2 adults and 1 15 yr old, £5,500 for 23 nights in August, BA flights including 4 nights in New York, 17 nights at Disney and 2 nights at Hard Rock. Just need to add on Park Tickets.

Wow that's cheap! who was that with please?

Every time I've looked at BA they're been double what Virgin or Aer Lingus were, the TUI one is tempting just down to the fact it's a very close Airport

It's transfers, flights with ELR, 7 nights PFH at Universal and 7 nights at All Star movie at Disney

No park tickets

If you are not tied to dates at the Universal hotels, have a play around with dates.

By doing this, we have secured Portofino Club level for 5 nights (2A 3C) for £1600. Booked this through attraction tickets direct who also had 5% off for bookings of 2 nights or more. £50 deposit

edit to add - just checked and the 5% off is still being offered.

Is that including a Saturday or Sunday night? Only because we have booked 24/10-29/10 (Mon-Sat) because Saturday and Sunday nights were bringing the price right up!

I'd say you need more for the villa. Probably more like £3,000. Villa prices have increased significantly compared with 2019/2020.
