I'm looking at some Denby Dinnerware. Not really a lot you can spend them on now.

If you use Hotels.com and convert them to that, you then get another 12 months to use them.

In September I managed to convert quite a few that were running out to use on 'cottages.com' for a lovely cottage in the Cotswolds

Thanks - I was wondering if this might happen. I have £38 worth to use before the end of the month so handy to know as I’m struggling for ideas!

Anyone know if converting them to virgin points is worth it? I’ve got £280 worth all together so looking for the best value 👍

You get 675 Virgin points per £2.50, if my calculations are correct that’s 75,600 points, and enough for 3 LHR-MCO returns at the end of May.

I usually use them either for hotels.com towards our universal resort hotels or airport hotels. I also use them for aph airport parking sometimes. Both hotels.com and aph were fantastic in refunding the points back to us when our 2020 and 2021 trips were cancelled.

Wow! Really? I have just had a quick look by googling and it looks like you are right! But how much are taxes etc? I’m definitely new to this kind of use!

The taxes for 2ad and 1ch came in at just under £700 when I was looking last week.

We convert all our CC points to miles (now points) and have done for years and have enjoyed numerous Upper and Premium flights as a result, so I'd say: yes, it's worth it!

If you go this route, and don't so already, you may want to consider opening a Virgin credit card and using that for all purchases. What with the introductory bonus, spending and your Clubcard head start, you could have a nice pot of miles very soon and, if you spend enough, a companion ticket or upgrade voucher!
