RIP Cali Smith
I posted part of this on my ‘ Totty snake ‘ thread but felt it deserved a thread of its own to bring a little more traffic through to promote mental health.
I don’t know of the young lady , but I think the kids will have a few ‘ friends of friends’ . Anyway this poor lady ,19, was found about half a mile from our house during the week , apparent suicide from jumping from a bridge over a ravine I darent think what the poor family are going through and what the young lady must have been going through to feel this was the only solution. Can you imagine having to write your final goodbyes to your daughter or sister on a bridge railings ? DD and I walked down to pay our respects . As we were there several friends turned up with flowers etc . Some in tears , some just clearly couldn’t comprehend the situation . It was so moving . Please please if you are struggling , just speak to someone And if you know someone is struggling, please go out of your way to make them know how special they are RIP Cali Edited to add - it comes about a week after a 56 year old man from my village was found in the local reservoir in an apparent suicide . So sad

How awfully sad. Thank you for raising the issue of mental health.
And I agree, please talk to someone, anyone if you are finding things difficult. |

It’s so sad that it’s right there before our eyes but we don’t see. How sad .
An extended member of our family, a young man in his 2nd year of vet college, doing well by all accounts took his life in his own Uni room but was a couple of days before found. All this in lockdown. Full of energy, a warm outgoing young man hiding his torment from family and friends. I wish he’d gone to talk to someone, anyone , now his family live with the guilt they never suspected a problem |
