Wow, such a long time ago that it doesn't seem real. So lucky to have seen him with Queen members at Wembley in 1985. ❤

Never be another showman like Freddie. What a voice 😃😃
Nothing better to blow the blues away while driving than blasting out a few Queen tracks

I cried for a week!
I've been a huge fan since 1975 and been lucky enough to have seen them 4 times. Twice with Freddie, once with Paul Rogers (which was horrendous) and once with Adam.

Freddie will never be forgotten.
Would he have been a Sir by now?

The only person, outside direct family and friends, that I remember crying about when I heard the news.

I was a university student and recall laying in bed that night listening to one Queen track after another, and just being so upset at such a talent being taken far, far too soon.

Musically i cant stand Queen but there is no denying he was the ultimate front man

no need for fancy sets/lights/dancers etc just 4 blokes with guitars & drums , a charismatic front man , thats Queen & thats rock n roll

I was living in halls at the time, and every room had a different song playing as you walked down the corridors. This was the 'olden days' when room doors stayed open if you left them, none of this fire door spring things going on then. It was a lot more sociable than it is now.

Freddie appealed to such a broad church of people in the UK. Everyone seemed to love him. His passing was the UKs ‘Rock Hudson” moment - it helped raise AIDS awareness here

Just having an hour of nostalgia watching Queen at the BBC on BBC2 now and having a really good sing-a-long (thankfully nobody else in the house).

Crazy Little Thing Called Love - apparently thought of by Freddie in the bath, jumped out with just a towel on and wrote it in 10 minutes

Roger Taylor's drumming on It's a Kinda Magic - superb.

Oh for July 9th 1986 at St James' Park.
