Virgin Points Help

Hi All,

Just hoping someone can share some advice. I have already booked to fly to Orlando from Manchester in February. However, I have recently acquired a number of virgin points through work flights. I contacted virgin to upgrade (from Economy to Premium) and I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know there are none available.

My question is, Will it be worth my time to keep checking? Or is it a case of once they are gone no more will become available?

Many Thanks!

Yes its worth checking every day or using a website like seatspy. The Revenue team can convert £ seats to points seats at any time and frequently do if there is capacity on the lead up to departure date

As above, availability changes all the time, either through cancellation/changes by other passengers or by Virgin releasing further rewards seats.

I'm in the midst of planning our summer trip for next year which could include PE or Upper with points into and out of any of LA, San Francisco, Vegas, Orlando, Miami, Atlanta or New York, each of which I check quite regularly for our date range and different days become available and unavailable all the time.

Brilliant news, did you have to phone them or could you do it online?

I have only ever been able to do it at the airport on the day of the flight and obviously very rarely are there any seats empty in upper class.
