What men can do that women can’t

And vice versa

Now before I start, this is based on a small sample size, the Wazza household. It’s also light hearted, anyone who takes offence, simply stop reading the thread!

Women can’t
Load the dishwasher correctly
Walk the dog early in the morning/last thing at night
Manage to carry empty teacups downstairs and put into the in aforementioned dishwasher
Put the rubbish out

Men can’t do
Fold fitted sheets (they’re the work of the devil)
Open the blinds to exactly the correct angle)
Be left alone in the house without being given a list of jobs to do
Iron the aforementioned fitted sheets
Put a shelf/picture up straight (although Mrs Wazza’s eyes and the spirit level seem to disagree on the meaning of straight&#128514

That’ll do for starters, I’ll now slink away and put my tin hat on!

I’m pretty sure men and woman could do anything if they wanted to, my husband don’t cook and I don’t lift heavy stuff because we don’t want to even try! My husband makes better tea than me, I say that so I don’t have to make it

I apparently can't load the dishwasher
Reverse the cars properly
Do Excel ( apparently it is sooo easy ..with added eyeroll )
Even think about painting or decorating
Freely admit don't empty the bins ..urghh that is a man's job

Men can't ( apparently )

Find anything to eat in the fridge ...ever
Work out how any ingredients could possibly make a meal
Draw curtains properly
Do something straight away, without 15 minutes contemplation on the loo

The dishwasher one is interesting, same here. I think it's to ensure there's no wasted space.

Apparently I can't park although I manage quite well left to my own devices. I also can't drive very well although my ancient little car has far less parking dents etc than his. And I remember to keep shopping bags in mine but then I am far better at shopping.

The dishwasher situation drives me nuts.

Plastic light items which blow straight through the gaps with water pressure put on bottom shelf, which promptly fall through and jam the main arm.

Bowls etc, facing up, fill with water, causing the dishwasher ‘water table’ to drop below California’s in July. When you open up, you have to pour away the dirty water and re stack the items for next time.

Items stacked on top of each other, preventing adequate water penetration and drainage opportunity.

Large knives etc, put in the cutlery bit causing jammage of the upper arm.

Large items such as chopping boards stacked at too acute an angle, again causing jammage of upper arm.

Cutlery placed downward, including spoons ‘spooning’.

The list goes on. Space management is also appalling. Sometimes I just have to do a full ‘restack’. You know, like when a house is so cumbersome and expensive to renovate, it’s better to just knock it down and start again?

Dishwasher anonymous tell me I have a problem🤪

I'm recovering from a shoulder injury & have seen DH in a completely new light.

He has no idea how tights go on
Not a clue how to dry hair
Can make himself a sandwich for lunch but omit to ask if I'm hungry. Can't cook
Can sleep through me falling out of bed only stirring when I cried out. Can also sleep through screaming/ill children
Can't load the dishwasher correctly
Can't hang anything straight.

I can't use a lawnmower
Reverse/parallel park
Have no idea how internet/tv/electricity etc works (magic?)
Cat loves me more but DH gives more treats
Batch cook ( just as well as said DH can't cook).

Been married almost 30 years & do household tasks that suit our skill mix. ie He loads the dishwasher & I reload it before turning it on
