That incorrect. The driver shortage hasn’t gone away it has not magically been resolved. There are still major problems in supply and logistics. I work in retail and hubby in logistics and supply. We know many companies who are having real issues.

I said "we have no supply problems at the moment from what the general public see" as in... what the public see / hear about via the media. I am aware that there are issues within the haulage industry, I distribute materials across the UK and Europe daily via couriers and palletised hauliers, and there are some sticking points but not to the extremes that we saw with the fuel crisis. I'll say again, that was a manufactured situation stirred up by the media and idiots on social media and the result is we are left with fuel prices 20p per litre higher than before it all started. The supply situation is running as normal as it can be now so the inflated prices should settle back, but no, a new benchmark has been set and we are all paying the price, literally!

Not a Car but I recently had issues with my Motorbike (2002 Honda Hornet), it just wasn't running right. £300 pound bill later and new Jets in the Carbs now no issue. The Mechanic asked what I was running it on? E10 I reply and have checked the details, bike shouldn't have a problem with it.

His reply, If I were you I wouldn't run it on that stuff (Stuff was spelt differently when he said it!)

Its now on Super Unleaded.

There is massive shortage of hgv drivers … two major issues hit that industry this year.
IR35 which pretty much stopped self employed drivers, No one is going to take a pay cut to do the same job ..easier to find a job with less responsibility
Eastern European .. Many have gone back to their home countries leaving a mass shortage

Neither gap has been filled properly. , And there’s not enough young people wanting to take their HGV test ( and I don’t blame them ), plus if they do take their test, Very few insurance companies will insure them ..

I’m a Transport Manager… We can’t get drivers , nor can many others in the area… every single day there are firms around here with loads they cannot fulfil. Can’t magic drivers and nor can we magically extend the hours existing drivers work (not that we should expect them to work more )..

I'm North West but nowhere near a Costco. Wondering if a cleaner and E10 unleaded may be a cheaper option. Like so many people minimum wage and all these increases in costs is biting.

It’s not about the cleaning property of the fuel but how it burns I think, there are 2 Costco near us the one in haycock and the one in Liverpool. If you are putting in 50 litres you can travel a bit and save money even with the cost of the Costco card
