Universal season pass at Mardi gras
I purchased seasonal passes for my October trip that never happened, but have re-booked to go at Easter instead. I have checked on the Universal websites for blackout dates. We arrive 2nd April to 16th and blackout dates don’t begin until 9 April, however it does mention that Mardi Gras concert dates are excluded. The plan is to spend the first night at an airport hotel in Tampa, then travel down early Sunday morning to spend two nights at a universal hotel that includes front of lines passes, but as the concert dates have not been released yet, I risk the chance of there being one on the Sunday night? (As far as I can see from past dates, they tend to be weekends)
I’m wanting to book my accommodation for the trip but am a bit in limbo at moment. Does anyone know approximately when the concert dates are released and also does the blackout just apply the park that the concert is on at? If so we could do islands of adventure on the Sunday, so would be fine anyway. |

As far as I am aware it would just be universal that you would be blocked out of on concert nights. Saw this on the universal site.
They are pretty much every Saturday but in 2020 the last couple of weekends they did the Saturday and Sunday. Those dates for 2020 were announced in the 8th January.

We did it in 2020- Only black out day was the Saturday for US and we could still get into IOA that day so we planned accordingly. Although as others have said it all concert nights so it will vary.
