Virgin reward flights LHR & MAN - MCO Sept 2022 now being added daily

Just a quick heads up that there are outbound EC reward flights from Heathrow to MCO available on 5th September at the moment.

I've just booked mine on the same date from Manchester, so just got to wait for the inbound ones to appear now.

UPDATE
Looks like they're adding the outbound reward seats daily now as 6th September is available today, so if anyone is hoping for them, then keep checking. Hopefully inbound will start to appear soon too.

I've been keeping an eye on seat spy each day as we are waiting for the 9th from MCO. Looking like this Sat for outbound flights. I've never used the rewards option before but decided to get a VA credit card 18 months ago so accumulated quite a few points now.
If 4 of us are travelling can we just book 4 outbound reward flights and standard return vs waiting for the return to be available. In my head its the same either way from a points view as we would just do x2 full return reward flights? Any guidance would be great? Im just concerned if we wait for return to be available then the outbound will be gone?

You can't book points one way and cash the other I'm afraid. So, it's a case of booking the outbound flight when you see it, and then the inbound when that gets released. You can wait until the inbound is released if you want, but there's the risk of the outbound getting booked up, like you said. It's a bit of a gamble waiting for the inbound flight too after booking the outbound, but they normally turn up, and if you can be a bit flexible with dates, that helps too.

Brilliant! Was there a charge for doing that?

Nope. However, I also called up a day later and spent another 2 hours on hold to switch our return to the 6:15pm flight from the 4:00pm flight, and they tried to charge me £30pp.

When I booked initially they said I could change fee free and only have to pay that £30pp if I cancelled. They waived the fee when I said this but it sounds like it might depend who you get on the phone.

Thank you, that's handy to know
