Which dates would you choose?
Hi everyone!
We are planning to go for 3 weeks next year and have the luxury of being able to select 3 different dates due to our school having 2 weeks for October half term. We are currently looking at: 15/10/22-05/11/22 but can also go: 22/10/22-12/11/22 or 29/10/22-19/11/22. Very keen on doing the horror nights again next year so which dates would you choose and why?

I would go starting on the 22nd as you'll have long enough to adjust to the later evenings before Halloween do to HHN, but also a decent amount of time afterwards to catch the first Christmas parties if you're also interested in them.
If it's mostly Halloween focused and not bothered by Christmas things, I'd go for the 15th unless flights on the 22nd are considerably cheaper. But I'm guessing the 15th would be, if half term starts the second week as usual. |

I would go when the flights were cheapest 😀 However, if you go from the 15 October to 5 November you won’t have the benefit of seeing so much of the Christmas celebrations whereas with the later dates, you will cover both Halloween and Christmas. To take advantage of covering both a reasonable amount of Halloween and Christmas, I would go for the 22 October ideally

Thanks all.
I am also thinking the 22nd might be the better option but the fights for the 15/10-5/11 are being released early next week so if the price is right, I think I am just going to go for it. Really don't know what to do for the best though because it would be lovely to see both Halloween and Christmas but knowing my luck, prices would shoot up!

Will the Half Term dates affect prices?
South Wales are Monday 31 October 2022 to Friday 4 November 2022 Some in England are Monday 17 October 2022 to Friday 28 October 2022 We tend to go circa the 28th October and by staying well in to November avoid the half term price surge.

I would strongly imagine so Mr T.
I am pretty confident that if we go the 29/10 for 3 weeks, flights will be so much cheaper but we will miss all of the Halloween events! Such a tricky decision and wish we didn't have so much of a choice

We flew out on the 29th once, we managed to do both mnsshp and horror nights. We had to do mnsshp on the evening we got there because of how the dates fell and the tiredness did take something away from it. We rented points and stayed at bay lake that night which made it more manageable.
I loved being able to do halloween and Christmas and I always recommend people to go that time of year. But if I really wanted to do both halloween events it would make me think twice. Edited at 04:59 PM. |
