Hi, I have tried to get exit row seats but after calling VH and VA I cant…….. Rather than book economy delight ( we are a family of 6) I might not choose any seats in economy classic. My hunch is that the airline only has 100 approx regular economy seats with loads of delight and other cost involved seating options….So on check in if all regular non pay seats in classic are took with plenty of delight left we would probably be given those. A gamble I’m sure but an idea I guess. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Following on from your Is My Flight Full request I went back to check the exact breakdown of ECD/EC seats and found the following if that helps.

Your outbound flight to MIA operated by a 787 aircraft has the following breakdown of 192 EC seats - EC Delight 36 and Economy 156. Your inbound flight from MCO operated by an A330-300 aircraft has the following breakdown of 185 seats - EC Delight 28 and Economy 156.

The above breakdown for EC Classic includes other cost options such as exit row/EC Preferred seats.

Thanks for your help again. On the way out we are flying to Miami but on the aircraft you mention. Probably all go txxs up and be scattered around plane in economy classic.😄

I have amended my post to read MIA rather than JFK- I had been checking my trip to JFK just before that so I typed it in by mistake. Perhaps pop another request in the Is My FLight fulll thread after New Year and I can check again.

only problem with emergency exit seats is you have to fit the criteria to sit in them, ie in an emergency it may be your job to operate the door if cabin crew incapacitated
if not you can be moved, it happened on a recent flight to jamaica, couple on honeymoon moved due to some sort of medical issue ie not able to operate door they were not happy, especially after paying and they got a form to claim seat money back.

I saw this happen too the lady was even larger than me. She cried tho and they let her stay there.

Won't it depend on whether they sell more than the 156 economy seats for passengers to be allocated ED seats?
