Interestingly mine has guzzled a tank in just over a week, usually lasts about 3-4, thought it was my imagination.

Yes! I have kept saying that my normally economical car seems to be eating through petrol. I hadn’t realised until this thread that this was the reason.😮

Try Super Unleaded and see if the few pence extra is worth it in your opinion vs lack of mpg on the E10 stuff.

My hybrid usually returns between 64 & 66mpg however our son borrowed it over the last week and it's dropped to 53.4 mpg. Think he must have been driving with his snowboarding boots still on 😂

I personally don’t put it in my tank and use the super/premium unleaded instead.

The time of year makes a difference too. During winter months the composition of petrol is different to aid cold running/starts but this adversary affects fuel efficiency. However the benefits of using higher quality fuel outweighs any savings to be made buying cheap. Interestingly our standard 95RON would be seen as premium in America. In fact using the economy fuel in high altitude states can invalidate the warranty.

My wife has a Jazz hybrid and the economy has dropped from 68 to 64.5 mpg I have a Lexus NX hybrid and it has dropped from 39 to 36 mpg. Changing to e10 from e5 has made no difference to emissions. Just costing the motorist more.

I switched cars around the time fuel. Changed so hard to know.
But I switched to the same car but the face-lift version. Petrol is better over long distance compared to the old car but goes down quicker in traffic/shirt journeys

Yep mine has dropped too. Ford puma 1 litre was getting 50 to the gallon round town now struggling to keep at 45. Drives worse too, so much so Ford have just had it back to check over as I thought there was something wrong with it. There isn’t.

E10 still gives me shivers, what little hair I had was pulled out trying to get that stuff splashed along with the testing on the bio ethanol, absolute nightmare. Hated it , wish they had just bought tickets like they do with diesel.
