I too am in the red zone and it is horrendous now - it is like being in the middle of Hurricane Andrew again. The wind is howling around the house, my bi-fold doors are starting to move and buckle in the gusts and keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't get any worse tonight.

It got quite bad here in Northumberland, it has taken our garage roof off so caused a lot of damage. Still a few more hours to go as well, not the best experience.

macy -sorry to hear you have had damage to your garage - I live in Northumberland too and appreciate how really bad it is at the moment. The important thing is that we try to stay safe and will just have to ride out the next few hours as best we can.

Thank you, it's the worst I have experienced in a long time. The important thing is everyones stays safe. I don't think we will get much sleep tonight in this storm. Thankfully it eases off in the morning.

Staffordshire has had very heavy snow and still coming down now plus dreadful high winds. Lots of plans today cancelled.
