Hope everyone is OK this morning - gosh it was (and still is) a mad night.

The weather segment on the BBC reporting wind speeds of up to 100mph in Northumberland overnight.

How’s things this morning ? Hope it calms down so you can start the tidy up.
I lost a few tiles but mostly unscathed thankfully.

We didn't get any snow.. just the winds, which have took down some trees.

Hope everyone stays safe.

A lot of roof damage as well as the garage plus a lot of contents ruined. It is used as a large utility so all appliances are wrecked. Insurance co lines are busy waited nearly 2 hours already for a response. Thank you for the concern the main thing is we are all fine. What a wild night to say the least.

Not too much damage - a rather sad looking wisteria and loads of trees down on our estate roads making it difficult to get out of it.

All the OH is concerned about is getting to Sunderland for the England Womens match against Austria! OH pipes up don't think I'll drive so will get the Metro - no you won't I reply as all services cancelled so far today and by the way the A19 northubound from Sunderland turn off to Testo's roundabout is closed for roadworks. There's a great debate on the Stadium of Light FB page about the game going ahead as a lot of people are finding it difficult to get there now.

Ugh ! At least you’re all safe as you said. It’s still devastating when something like that happens though.
