Definitely. Although I would say that the Richard Chamberlain TV movie of The Bourne Identity wasn't too bad at capturing the novel.

The Millennium Falcon is also in the latest Star Wars movies, including the one coming out later this month.

If you want to get technical, the Millennium Falcon at Galaxy’s Edge is based on the most recent version, not the one from the original Star Wars film in 1977 (the GE one has a rectangular radar dish, not a round one).

And, as pointed out, Disney uses both new films and old films for its rides. Just like Universal.

But, as I said, the age of the franchise makes no difference to how good a ride or land is.

As someone who read the Hobbit and Lord or the Rings at primary school, who played MERP and Rolemaster in the 80s, and who loved the LOTR films, I think a LOTR (or Middle Earth) land and ride would be excellent.

And, for those who don’t know much about LOTR, the land and ride would still be recognisable as a general fantasy land.

I would pay good money to see a ride where Aragorn is just standing there, looking all masterful and brooding <drool>

I, too, played those - and the more recent versions of the Lord of the Rings RPG (The One Ring and Adventures in Middle Earth)

It wasn't so long ago many on here were saying they didn't like or have never seen Avatar, and for me, that's the best ride in the parks.
