Flight Price Alert Web Sites
I think am trying to be too clever with these flight price tracking services, but think it is best I check here first as I may just be a numpty
I ask as am not sure I am doing it right, or if what am looking to do is too complex for them. I want to go with my partner to Japan. It looks like it might be next year now, or even the year after. We have 2 weeks booked off this coming September and nothing planned for that time, but could go to Japan for 5 or so days, if we could get flights are super cheap prices. Both of us are over 6 foot tall, one of us is WELL over 6 foot – and would like to go PE or business class to have a chance of a sleep on a plane. What am looking to do is get an alert if the price for a business ticket drops to silly levels, say 700 or less return, as that is the only way we will go this year really. I can put an search into Google flights for the dates / level of ticket – and it gives me results now, and the offer to get alerted on the prices – but that alert seems to be “dumb” as it just tells you what the price is, there is no way to set a price point at which an alert would be triggered. Any experience of these types of sites? Do other sites do what am after? |

Have you tried Skyscanner or Kayak, I’m sure you can set up alerts on those sites.
Momondo is another to try looking at. I don’t like using Google’s search, I find it expensive . Hope that helps |

You could also sign up to Jack's flight club. I've got the free version and get emails a couple of times a week for bargain flight prices. You can't choose where or when, but at least you'd know if there were bargain flights around for a destination you're interested in. I'm sure Japan and Asia were mentioned a week or so ago.( I also got an email about the bargain USA prices mentioned on the dibb last week) You can also pay a small fee to be the first notified of the best offers.

Thanks I looked at both (only quickly I admit) but again the alerts were "dumb" it appeared, just they would send email for prices on that route, but could not tell them to send them if the price hit a magic number.
Perhaps what am trying to get is just not out there, and will have to get all the email alerts and read through them to see if magic price point is in any of them. |
