Looking for inspiration, for those of you that do gifts what have you bought for an end of year gift? Or for those of you that teach, what gifts do you like to receive?

My kids teachers are getting a bottle of gin each.

They deserve it 😂😂

Knowing teachers.. We don't bother getting them tat which will end up in a bin at some point, there's only so many best teacher mugs you can have.

Ive just seen on a facebook group I'm in someone who received this, I would absolutely love it as a gift.

Nothing is expected, everything is received with thanks, but there are really only so many best teacher mugs one can use.

My daughter finished school on Friday (she's moved up to comp and is on a two week transition before the hols), she always said her teacher likes bags, gin, chocolate and unicorns, so we got her a personalised tote bag to carry her school stuff in, I see them all use them, a big bar of chocolate and ordered a personalised wrapper for it off ebay, a bottle of gin and a card with a unicorn on, all bases covered and she loved it

You can't go wrong with a nice pen, flowers or chocolate.

As much as they would probably appreciate the booze, is that appropriate for a child to bring into school?

That's so thoughtful!

Hope your dd has a smooth transition.

My daughters school always had wine on the tombola tables at summer and Xmas fairs... I carried the present in so it didn't get damaged, or child swig from bottle 😉 and if I had some of the kids in my daughters old class for 9 months a year I'd want gin via a drip 😂😂😂

As a teacher trainer we seldom got gifts from our students although they were really pleased with the gifts they got from their learners. One even said to me that it made her feel like a 'real teacher' rather than a trainee. In previous teaching roles it was the thought that went into the gifts eg a set of whiteboard pens as I was always losing mine, a small angel broach with a birthstone feature (the students had found out the teacher birth months beforehand) It's not the gift, it's the thought that someone cared that is appreciated.
