I didn’t know there were so many local dibbers! I grew up in Sutton, spent most of my adult years in Hall Green and now in Solihull too!

North Eastern but not Geordie. More of a Tees accent, but I’ve lived in the South for over 20 years now so it is a lot softer. However I can go really broad after a weekend back up at home!

I too am from the NE... Sunderland. Have lived in Canada for the past 11 years and still have my accent. So much so, that if I speak fast they dont understand us here, and thats when I am using my posh voice. Have been asked which country we are from! Isnt it obvious! We are English

I have a fairly soft Scottish accent.
Used to be pretty Glaswegian when I was young but after many years living in England (are you Irish?) and elsewhere it definitely softened quite a lot.

I think I’m probably posh scouse. I’m born and bred in Liverpool but now live on the Wirral and mix with lots of people from all over the country in work, so that’s probably softened it a bit - burracantalklikecillaifawantyerknow
