If they cancelled the flight and it was an open ticket, your voucher should have been available to use immediately that happened.

They do record the calls so it may be worth escalating.

It was a booking I cancelled to get a better deal in the Black Friday sale. Meant I had to pay out all my taxes again but once they refund me for the original flight, I will have saved £500 and goodness knows how many miles. Seems the only duff information I was given is that my vouchers can be used retrospectively. Hey ho, worth checking. I’ll just use the vouchers against my next booking. Thanks for your help 😊

If you have now already booked at the sale rate, and the dates are before the 31st of August 2021, you can then change to open tickets, however when re-booking the standard amount of points would be required. You can't book the sale ticket and keep the sale price for the re-booking to later dates.

I booked reward flights in the sale for this May flying upper back, we would never be able to afford if it wasn’t for the sale. We was really optimistic that we could fly but now I’m not so sure infact we are almost sure it will be cancelled . If virgin cancel the flights will we have lost the reward flights miles and cash? I mean could we rebook at the same offer? We would like to move the dates rather than cancel but I know we could never be able to rebook upper at there normal miles/cash prices.

No you will not loose your money and miles they will be refunded to you. 😊

You will get your money and points back but you will have to rebook at whatever the cost is at that time (i.e. the non-sale price).
